WHAT IS OKC BBQ FEST?

OKC BBQ Fest is a 2 day event featuring live music, craft beer & spirits alongside a Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned BBQ competition for BBQ enthusiasts across the country. Teams will compete for $30,000 in cash prizes. 50 different prizes will be awarded.

WHEN IS OKC BBQ FEST?

Friday, October 21st 

Gates: 3:00pm (limited vendor tents open)

Music: 4:30pm – 11:00pm (all vendor tents open)

Saturday, October 22nd

Gates: 3:00pm (limited vendor tents open)

Music: 4:30pm – 11:00pm (all vendor tents open)

BBQ Competition

Teams will begin cooking on Friday evening and will cook until turn-ins begin at 12:00pm on Saturday. Turn-in times are as follows:

Chicken: 12:00pm

Ribs: 12:30pm

Pork: 1:00pm

Brisket: 1:30pm

In accordance with the Kansas City Barbecue Society, teams are not allowed to give samples of food to the public. Food cooked for the competition may only be consumed by the judges. The public is welcome to walk around the cook-sites and observe the process and team equipment. Most teams are happy to share their trade secrets or answer questions. Please be respectful of teams wishing not to participate in discussion.

WHERE IS THE OKC BBQ FEST?

The OKC BBQ Fest is in Chisholm Creek, South of Memorial Road, West of Western Ave, and East of Pennsylvania Ave. The BBQ competition area is located just south of Chalk & YogaSix. The festival is located just south of Solo’s Park & Pub. See site map at http://www.okcbbqfest.com/map

HOW TO ATTEND OKC BBQ FEST?

Tickets are available at www.okcbbqfest.com. Attendees must have a ticket to enter the festival gates. 

DO I NEED A TICKET TO VISIT THE BBQ COMPETITION AREA?

The competition area is open to the public to visit and observe the cooking. You do not need a ticket to enter this area. The announcement of the winners will be live on-stage Saturday within the festival gates. You will need a ticket to the festival to watch the results.

CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS AT THE GATE?

Tickets may be purchased at the gate starting at 3:00pm each day when the gates open.

WHERE IS PARKING FOR THE EVENT?

Parking will be available in the grass lot West of Pawnee Drive and South of Memorial. Parking attendants will be on-site to direct traffic. See site map at www.okcbbqfest.com/map

ARE TICKETS REFUNDABLE?

All tickets purchased are considered non-refundable.

AM I ALLOWED TO RE-ENTER IF I LEAVE?

Your wristband allows re-entry during the festival as well as each day.

DO I NEED TO BRING MY ID WITH ME?

If you plan to purchase alcohol you will need an additional 21+ wristband. You will need to provide a valid ID to obtain a 21+ wristband. Valid IDs are Passports, Gov’t Issued State ID’s & Driver’s Licenses. Expired IDs will not be accepted. 

IS MY 21+ WRISTBAND VALID FOR BOTH DAYS?

Each day of the festival you will be required to obtain a new 21+ wristband. You will need a valid ID both days. You will not be sold alcohol if you are wearing Friday’s wristband on Saturday. You will not be issued a Saturday 21+ wristband if you do not have your ID, even if you have a wristband from Friday.

ARE PETS ALLOWED?

Pets are not allowed within the festival gates. Service animals are welcome. We have partnered with Solo’s Park & Pub and they are extending a 15% discount on their doggy drop off service during the festival hours. Attendees of the festival can show their ticket at the front window of Solo’s when they drop their pet off. For information on Solo’s please visit www.solosparkandpub.com

ATTENDANCE AGES:

The festival and BBQ competition are ALL-AGES events. Admission is free for children 10 and under.

PROHIBITED ITEMS:

Weapons of any kind. All articles are subject to search.

Outside food or drink.
